I was excited to get a phone call from Caitlin Hylinski from Cinema Cafe yesterday. "Sensory Friendly" means the lights will stay up during the whole show, the volume will be reduced significantly, previews will be skipped, and individuals with sensory issues will be in good company with other families who understand. The success of these showing will determine if Cinema Cafe will offer more Sensory Friendly movies in the future. (edit: Cinema Cafe is unable to skip the previews at this time due to their contracts with studios).
At Cinema Cafe, Kemps River, in Virginia Beach, tickets will be $4.75 for children and $6.50 for adults. At the Hampton location, tickets will be $4.75 for both children and adults.
